The purpose of Cultivating GEMS is to connect, empower, encourage and support young women who have a desire to live for Christ.

WHAT GEMS STANDS FOR

Girls with Influence:

Influence is defined as the ability to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone or something, or the effect itself. GEMS positively influence their peers, families, communities and everyone they encounter. "Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." - 1 Timothy 4:12

Empowering One Another:

GEMS empower one another to be bold, confident, and successful. As sisters in Christ we support, love, and hold one another accountable. "Let the kindness of the Lord our God be with us. Make us successful in everything we do. Yes, make us successful in everything we do." - Psalms 90:17

Making a Difference:

GEMS impact their communities in a positive way and understand in order to make a difference, they must 1st be different. "Whoever is a believer in Christ is a new creation. The old way of living has disappeared. A new way of living has come into existence. God has done all this. He has restored our relationship with him through Christ, and has given us this ministry of restoring relationships."                     - 2 Corinthians 5:17-18

Sharing the Love of Christ:

GEMS exemplify Christ's love for ALL people and are passionate about serving. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."                                - 1 Corinthians 13:4-7
